Our Bereavement support groups in Essex are open to anyone in the community, not just families we have looked after.
‘New Era’ Bereavement Support Group Essex
‘New Era’ Bereavement Support Group is our self-help support group by Bennetts Funeral Directors Ongar. It’s celebrating it’s ten year anniversary this year. It meets every second Wednesday of the month at St George’s Church Hall from 1.30p.m. – 3.30p.m. and refreshments are provided. Contact Janet for more details 01277 210654.

‘Our Grieving Hearts’ Bereavement Support Group Essex
We support ‘Our Grieving Hearts’ Bereavement support group, a local Compassionate Friends support group for bereaved parents. The group has been meeting for six years. It meets every first Monday evening of the month in Brentwood. For details call Bridget on 01277 210104.

‘Tiny Stars’ Bereavement Support Group Essex
is our new support group for those affected by miscarriage and still birth. It meets every second Friday between 9.30a.m-10.30a.m. in Brentwood. For details call Leigh on 01277 210104.

Grief Journey Bereavement Support Group with Bennetts.
We have been running Grief Journey courses every year since 2010. Grief Journey is a free six-week structured course designed by Dr Bill Webster and is beneficial in assisting many people come to terms with their grief. What is a Grief Journey Course
Free Grief Journey courses are structured in 6 week sessions for anyone who has suffered bereavement.We are hosting a special one-off Grief Journey session on Tuesday 12 December. This session may appeal to you if you have participated in our Grief Journey courses and to anyone who would like practical advice for coping with grief over the festive period.
Coping with Christmas. We are hosting a “one off” grief journey session on 12th December.
The session will take place on Tuesday 12 December from 7p.m. at The SNAP Centre, Pastoral Way, Brentwood, Essex CM14 5WF. Alida Horne and Bridget Holley will be hosting the session and refreshments will be available.
