Dying Matters aims to raise public awareness about the importance of talking more openly about dying, death and bereavement. Something that we here at Bennetts Funeral Directors support with our own ‘Wish List’ which is available FREE online on our website and by requesting a copy from our branches here in Brentwood or Billericay. Traditionally people are very reluctant to think about their own funeral. This is understandable as none of us like to consider our own mortality. However, the result of this is that when the inevitable does happen, family and friends are often left guessing and not sure what to do. At a time when they may be dealing with grief as well as the legal issues surrounding the bereavement, relatives are also trying to devise funeral arrangements which they hope are what you would of wanted, decisions can be made in a rush and sometimes regretted later.
Therefore we at Bennetts Funeral Directors devised the ‘Funeral Planning Wish List’ suggested to be completed where possible in consultation with your family at a time when you are fit and healthy and then filed away with your Will or somewhere known to the person nominated to arrange your funeral, until it is needed, at which point it can be used by your family or simply handed to your funeral director. If you would like further information on our FREE Funeral Planning Wish List, please call 01277210104 where any member of our team can help you further. Alternatively if you would be interested in discussing a Pre Paid Funeral Plan and take things one step further, again please call 01277 210104 and either Bridget or Lucienne can advise you.
‘Talking about dying won’t make it happen!’
