Bennetts Funerals Directors of Brentwood & Billericay, Essex confirmation of membership to the Alzheimers Society Volunteer Fundraising Group

This is to confirm that Bennetts Funeral Directors of 102 High Street, Brentwood, Essex, CM14 4AS and Bennetts Funeral Directors of 2 High Street, Billericay, Essex, CM12 9 BQ are official members of the Alzheimer’s Society Volunteer Fundraising Group based in Brentwood.  We have permission from the Society to use its logo and resources and to source prizes and sponsorship, both financial and in-kind for use at events.

We are part of a team of volunteers who organise local events to raise much needed funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.  We are currently working on this year’s Memory Walk which will take place on the 30th September in Thorndon Park South, there will be a mile walk with a treasure hunt and a 9k walk.

Please consider supporting our local volunteers in their requests.  The Alzheimer’s Society supports people to live well with dementia today and funds research to find a cure for tomorrow, they also support the relatives of those with Alzheimer’s.  We rely on voluntary donations to continue our vital work.

If you consider it appropriate to make a financial donation it would be greatly appreciated and it can be sent to our local Alzheimer’s Society Brentwood and Billericay Office at Suite 5b, Pembroke House, Northlands Pavement, Pitsea, Basildon, SS13 3DU.  Please mark it for the attention of Rosemary Spence, Memory Walk.

Perhaps it may be possible for you to donate a prize or prizes for the tombola stall, or some items for the goody bags, all items are welcome; we always need bottles of water too.

Alternatively why not join us on the day with a team of colleagues and or family members.

On a personal note, on the 26th August I will be walking the Three Peaks of Yorkshire to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.  The walk is 24 miles and the equivalent of Ben Nevis from sea level.  I started training 6 weeks ago having decided that I needed a challenge!  Should you wish to donate please do so by cheque to The Alzheimer’s Society via myself or online via
