Bennetts Funeral Directors and St Francis Hospice Traditional Christmas Market, Brentwood
Bennetts were delighted to host the 2016 Saint Francis Hospice Traditional Christmas Market on Saturday 26th November. The market included performances by Fairlytes Choir, The Essential Singers, and two performances from bagpiper Michael Heaslip – one solo and one with the wonderful Britannia Pipe Band. Mulled wine was provided by The Ship pub in Romford and mince pies by Marks & Spencer Brentwood. Visitors were able to buy Christmas decorations and gifts, along with toys, sweets, photographs and hand-made wooden gifts. Visitors were also able to view the Bennetts Memory Tree, which gives those who have lost a loved one to place an individually engraved leaf on the tree in their memory, with all proceeds going to Saint Francis Hospice to help them continue in their work supporting patients and families of patients who have been diagnosed with a life limiting illness. After final calculations, the total raised on the day was the fantastic sum of £2,170 and we would like to thank everyone who helped us make the day such a success.
