BENNETTS FUNERAL DIRECTORS AND UNDERTAKER SERVICE IN ESSEX OPEN DAY – SATURDAY 11 JUNE
Bennetts Essex Funeral Directors have been supporting families with sensitivity and respect for 125 years. Known for value and trusted for excellence they are opening their doors on Saturday 11 June to mark 125 years serving the community.
The day promises to be far from sombre with Bennetts undertaker services own staff displaying their extra talents with the Mayflower Morris Men dancing with Tony Motley and Jon Lee playing with the Shenfield Bell Ringers. Other musical interests are Fairlytes Singers and Michael Heaslip on Bagpipes.
The day will start with the Mayor of Brentwood, travelling along the High Street to announce the opening in a horse drawn carriage. The horses will stay on site during the day, along with a special appearance from Nemo the Unicorn. Bennetts will be launching a new range of vehicles to their existing vintage Rolls Royce and contemporary Mercedes fleet which they are very excited about.
A motorcycle hearse will be on display to the public, along with vintage vehicles from Brentwood Museum, the Historic Chapels Trust, Epping Ongar Railway and Grays Fire Museum.
Bennetts Essex Undertakers support for charities in the community is well known and continues with their support of SNAP, St Luke’s Hospice and St Francis Hospice throughout 2016. Bennetts are sponsoring the SNAP Charity Balloon Race; a £50 prize for the balloon that travel’s the furthest, balloons are £2 available to buy on the day.
Bennetts local undertakers have planted 125 trees in Brentwood and Billericay throughout their birthday year with trees going into schools and open recreational spaces across both boroughs for future enjoyment for generations to come. Bennetts will be unveiling their Brentwood Memory Tree on Saturday 11 June with money raised from each personalised leaf going to St Francis Hospice. Another tree will be unveiled later in the year at their Billericay office with funds going to St Luke’s.
The day promises to be informative and entertaining with stalls, displays and face painting for younger visitors. Two sessions on ‘How to become a Dementia Friend’ taking place during the day. Refreshments including freshly baked celebratory cupcakes will be available throughout the day served by members of Bennetts’ Bereavement Groups.
