Bennetts Funeral Directors Fern House, 120 High Street, Brentwood, CM14 4AS are hosting a Professionals Open Day on Wednesday 18th September 2013 4pm – 7pm

Bennetts Funeral Directors will be holding a Professionals’ Open Event to give all funeral related professionals the opportunity to meet other professionals, which will include ministers and their churchwardens, doctors, hospital and surgery staff, and care home staff to name but a few.

The aim is to give people we come into contact with on a regular basis an insight to our premises and the services we offer. Having recently been contacted by a local hospital with regard to our facilities for bariatric deceased we will have various items of equipment on display; and it would be useful to discuss this with our allied professionals.

We will have information on our three bereavement groups, along with literature on bereavement and grief which may be useful for your clients.  Copies of Dr Bill Webster’s books, ‘Life Changes’, ‘Why Me?’, and ‘Now What?’ will be available.  Should anyone wish to discuss our Grief Journey courses we will willingly do so.

There will be the opportunity to view our coffin show room, classic vehicle fleet, and view the ancillary services we offer, such as service sheets.   We will have information on woodland burials and green coffins.  We are planning a release of doves from True Dove Ways.

We can tailor individual training courses for groups around their knowledge requirements, regarding content, duration and number of attendees and can discuss this on the day.

Copies of our free Funeral Planning Wish List will be available to take away with you.

We will also have a brief talk from Mr. Steve Willoughby from Home Instead, an organisation which helps people maintain their independence in their own homes. Home Instead will also speak regarding their training for those families affected by Alzheimer‘s and we will have details of those training sessions which will take place locally.

A buffet will be provided, and we look forward to you joining us between 4.00pm – 7.00pm for this informal but informative event.  To ensure that we can provide the correct amount of catering I should greatly appreciate you confirming your attendance and that of any colleagues.  Telephone 01277 210104. Please pass this on to anyone who you consider may be interested.
