Bennetts Funeral Directors and COVID-19
As we adapt to the threat of COVID-19 in our society the nature of funerals is having to change because we, as part of the community need to keep people safe in line with government guidelines. However, we would like to reassure all our families that at the present time, we are arranging funerals as we would normally but, we are also taking into account that this is a rapidly changing situation.
Committed to our bereaved families
Please know that we are committed to staying in touch with you at all times and to keeping you informed with updated information as to how we will continue to provide a compassionate and caring service to our bereaved families. We have currently put procedures in place to ensure safety, so please do not be alarmed if you see staff wearing additional personal protective equipment (PPE) such as face masks or paper overalls, even though the risk is deemed to be low, this is purely a precautionary measure. While our offices remain open, our staff will be working on rotation, dealing with all funeral arrangements by telephone. We will invite you in only to sign any necessary paperwork.
For additional, important information regarding how the rapidly changing circumstances might affect how a funeral may be held, please refer to How Covid-19 (Coronavirus) may affect funerals.
We understand that this is a very worrying and upsetting time for many. Funerals are significant events to mark the end of a person’s life here on earth. Please be reassured that we are devoted to our bereaved families and their loved ones throughout this period and can offer help and guidance on potential travel restrictions, up to date government guideline information, and recommend crematoria offering live-streaming and webcast facilities.
