SNAP (Special Needs And Parents) helps Essex families who have children aged 0-25 years with special needs and disabilities. The children and young people have a wide range of disabilities including autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, sensory impairments, speech and language difficulties and learning disabilities. SNAP’s aims are to inform, encourage and support parents, so that they can grow in strength and knowledge and become better equipped to give the best possible help to their children.
Saint Francis Hospice in Romford is an Essex-based charity committed to providing free, person centred care to those affected by a life limiting illness. Our services are tailored to help you cope without fear, in a relaxed setting chosen by you. Both on-site and in the community, we have access to a full range of medical expertise from trained professionals including consultants, nurses, specialising in palliative care, physiotherapists, complementary therapists Chaplains, social workers, counsellors, occupational therapists.
St. Luke’s Hospice aim is to provide the highest standards of care for people who have specialist palliative care needs and live in the Basildon & Thurrock districts. This acute specialist multidisciplinary holistic care is offered for people living with or affected by cancer and any other advanced life-threatening illness, and is given within the Hospice or at home supported by services at St. Luke’s House, in partnership with patients, carers, families and other professionals.
