Friends of All Saints Church, East Horndon who support The Churches Conservation Trust Urgently need your help on Saturday 16th March 2013!
This weekend saw volunteers brave the cold weather to make a start on the vital ground clearance work that is needed at All Saints Church, East Horndon. This year they have their first wedding in decades as well as many other planned events. Three members of the Bennetts Funeral Directors staff were on hand to help out, Jane Bennett herself, Danny and Callum, armed with gardening gloves, mechanical strimmers and hedge cutters plus a whole lot of energy! They were joined by five other volunteers who worked laboriously together to clear the large amount of brambles around the church so that more headstones could be uncovered. As the pictures show they made massive progress although there is still a long way to go!
So if you are FREE next Saturday 16th March and could spare a few hours to help clear more of the
All Saints, East Horndon church grounds, you would be welcomed with open arms.
The more the merrier, how does the saying go ‘more hands makes light work”.
