Brentwood & District Bowling Association

Bennetts association with Brentwood Bowling can be traced back to the 1930's when Arthur Bennett sponsored the annual "Cock of the Green" competition. For the winner of the competition Arthur commissioned the distinctive, perpetual winners trophy - a mounted silver Cockerel, which to this day remains proudly on display in the trophy cabinet of the Central Essex Bowls Club.

In July 2003 Bennetts enhanced their commitment to local bowling by establishing in association with the Brentwood & District Bowling Association, an annual, one day tournament, open to one mens and one ladies team from each of the fifteen member clubs of the Association.
In recognition of Arthur's appreciation of the game, the tournament was aptly named -           "The Arthur Bennett Memorial Trophy"
The winning Club retains the impressive perpetual trophy for twelve months, whilst each winner and runner up player receives their own individual trophy to keep.

In addition to the establishment of the Arthur Bennett Memorial Trophy, Bennetts took responsibility for the ongoing sponsorship of the Associations Triples competition, which runs throughout the bowling season, concluding on Association finals day. To compliment the competition a new perpetual trophy was provided by Bennetts, which the winning team retain for twelve months, with the winner and runner up players each receiving individual trophies to keep.

Romford & District Bowls Association

Resulting in the success of our partnership with the Brentwood & District Bowling Association, during 2004, The Romford & District Bowling Association afforded Bennetts the opportunity to sponsor the triples (Bower) cup; as with the Brentwood triples competition, Bennetts attend the finals day and also provide individual winner and runner up trophies to keep.

Childrens Sports Sponsorship

Ongoing sponsorship projects include provision of match day kits, training kits also provision of equipment, training and fund raising initiatives.
Past projects have included teams from Great Danes Football Club, Barnston Football Club also Brentwood Town Rugby Football Club.
Bennetts welcome representatives from any local Childrens sport clubs, seeking advise or sponsorship.

Golf

Since 2005 Bennetts have supported the Hartswood Golf Club, Senior Citizens Section by sponsoring the Winter Masters Competition; our commitment to the club includes the provision of a perpetual trophy retained by the winner for twelve months and also raffle prizes.

Rugby Union

Since 2002, The Society of Old Brentwood's Rugby Football Club have enjoyed support in the form of Race Night sponsorship also after dinner raffle prizes, most notably the provision of a chauffeur driven Rolls Royce limousine with a meal for two.

Football

The Anglo - Irish, Charity Football Challenge Cup played in aid of the Little Havens Childrens Hospice, commenced July 2006 with Ireland victorious over England 3-0. Developed to be played annually, the cup is retained for twelve months by the winning squad; much needed funds are raised between the players and their families for the benefit of those children in the care of the local Childrens Hospice.
